    Your guide meets you upon arrival at the airport and takes you to your hotel in Ubud.

    Ubud is Bali’s artistic heart and the center of cultural events. Surrounded by a beautiful rural landscape it is easy to see where the artists find their inspiration. This is a great place for buying special mementos in many small shops and galleries. For those wishing to know more about Balinese art, a visit to one of the local museums will provide some fascinating insight. Cultural events such as ceremonies, dances and temple festivals occur frequently and Ubud, which has many good restaurants where you can enjoy simple Balinese or European food. Ubud is also the center for studying Yoga in Bali.

    After breakfast, a short drive brings you to Bayung Gede, the starting point for an exhilarating mountain biking adventure. Following a safety briefing and a test ride to ensure everyone is comfortable, the cycling journey takes you along tranquil roads and through picturesque Balinese villages. Along the way, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in authentic Balinese daily life, passing through lush forests, plantations, and scenic rice fields.

    Numerous stops punctuate this adventure, including visits to Balinese homes, offering a glimpse into life beyond the tourist areas, and plantations where you'll uncover the cultural and medicinal significance of local flora.     Prepare to have an extraordinary day!

    Meet your guide in the morning and head to Taman Ayun, one of the most beautiful temples in South Bali. The temple was built in the 17th century by Prince Gusti Anom. Literally translated the meaning is ‘floating flower garden’, because the temple is situated in the middle of an artificial lake. Take a short walk through the complex and admire the impressive surroundings.

    Then drive to the world-famous Jatiluwih. This World Heritage Site is a living museum showcasing the island's traditional methods of agriculture. See how clever land utilization and cooperative use of water and other resources turns vertical hillsides into lush, 'postcard' rice paddies.

    Afterward, visit the Beratan Lake with the temple Ulun Danu Beratan, a large water temple located on the western side of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul. The temple has been an important site of pilgrimage for the Hindu Balinese since the 11th century.

    Haunted Valley Waterfall

    Kick off your four- to five-hour adventure with a welcome drink and safety preparations for driving the Finn Komodo. After your drink, set off on an exhilarating 2-hour buggy drive through dirt tracks, past the hills of Kayu Pandak, the challenging Devil’s Rock, and picturesque plantations, ending at The Green Circuit for some racing fun!

    For those interested, a half-hour guided dirt road cycling experience is available through the plantations, with a picnic lunch served along the way.

    Then, return to your buggy and head to Bengkel village, known for its beautiful rice terraces. Enjoy a 30-minute walk through the rice fields before a short drive to a serene waterfall, located in a small forest that requires a 10-minute downhill walk to access. Do not miss the chance to take a refreshing dip!

    To enhance your experience, it’s recommended to bring a change of clothes, comfortable sports shoes, and a camera to capture memorable moments.

    Nature Munduk Walking Tour Tamblingan and Canoeing: 2 - 3 hours

    If your hotel is near our trekking area, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and provide a brief overview of today’s walking tour. If not, you will be taken by car to the starting point.

    The walk offers a great opportunity to immerse yourself in local life, with visits to local plantations such as clove, cacao, coffee, and other herbal plants. Additionally, a stroll through rice terraces provides a chance to observe local farmers at work. If they are working, you are welcome to participate and get your hands dirty if you wish.

    After a 2-hour walk, you will arrive at a serene waterfall tucked away in a small forest, away from the tourist path. After swimming, your guide will prepare a picnic lunch by the waterfall.

    For the last part of the tour, transfer by car to Lake Tamblingan at the foot of Mount Lesung for a canoeing experience. Enjoy canoeing aboard a traditional outrigger boat, where you can assist the skilled boatman as a navigator. Glide through the peaceful waters and enjoy breathtaking natural beauty of the lake's surroundings.

    Finally, a car will transfer you back to your hotel, concluding the tour.

  • Candirejo is a typical Javanese village, not far from the Borobudur, where the residents are supported by a local NGO that started a sustainable tourism project, aimed at introducing typical Javanese village life to visitors. You will explore this peaceful village and the surrounding countryside by bike – riding along small rural lanes to fields, where people are working on the land. You stop along the way to interact with locals and so that your guide can explain the different activities – such as harvesting and drying chili (seasonal), or making cassava crackers and handicrafts from bamboo. Next you will visit a local house, where the community will give a performance of traditional gamelan music, played with traditional Javanese percussion instruments. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to join in and try and master some of these instruments. During the tour you will also enjoy a delicious Javanese meal at a community-funded pavilion house, known locally as a pendopo rumah.

  • Exploring Yogyakarta by becak (pedicab) is a unique way to soak up the lively atmosphere of this amazingly diverse city. Start with a visit to the walled Kraton palace complex in the city's old quater that was once the palace of Yogyakarta’s sultans. You will also visit Taman Sari water palace, a former leisure haven for the sultans. Then you head to a wayang kulit (shadow puppets) and batic factory, to see how these arts and crafts are made.

    Last but not least, embark on a captivating journey to Prambanan Temple, a mesmerizing Hindu marvel located just an hour's drive from downtown Yogyakarta, Indonesia. As the nation's largest Hindu temple, Prambanan is a breathtaking testament to ancient craftsmanship and spiritual devotion, adorned with intricate reliefs narrating the epic tale of Ramayana and dedicated to the divine trinity of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Its three towering main temple structures, including one that reaches an astonishing height of 47 meters, stand in harmony with over 220 smaller Pewara temples, some lovingly restored, each holding unique historical significance.

  • On this fascinating heritage walk, explore Kotagede, a part of Yogyakarta that is rarely visited by outsiders. Known for its silver workshops, it is a maze of alleyways and narrow streets where you can get a real feel of traditional Javanese daily life. During the walk you will explore the unique architecture of this close-knit community and see how people live. No visit to Kotagede would be complete without a visit to the local market and mosque, with its unique royal graveyard and bathing complex. You will meet people in the community and take part in a batik workshop. Batik is a centuries-old Javanese craft that produces beautiful colored designs on textiles by dyeing them, having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed. Each region has its own unique patterns linked to its cultural heritage. Learn the basic skills during this workshop and create your own batik to take home with you! You will then be served a delicious lunch.

  • We will take a train from Yogyakarta - Mojokerto. This is a great way to see a lot of the countryside and to get in touch with the local people.

    Upon arrival at the Mojokerto Station, your driver/guide will be waiting in the arrivals area, holding a sign with your name on it then non-stop transfer to Bromo Region.

    Mount Bromo is an active volcano that is part of the 800 km2 Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. At 2,392m, it may be small in comparison to other Indonesian volcanoes, however, the dramatic views and spectacular landscape of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is something not to be passed up.

  • After a very early morning wake-up call, you begin your journey by jeep to sacred Mount Bromo, an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java. After a short, steep drive, you stop off at Penanjakan viewpoint to witness a glorious sunrise. Only when the first rays of dawn begin to appear, do you realize the splendor of the scene that greets you – a spectacular panorama featuring the highest mountain tops of Java. From here you drive into the huge Bromo caldera and then cross a wide, open terrain to get to the centre of the caldera. Here you climb a staircase to reach the top of active Bromo volcano! After your adventure, you will be transferred back to your hotel for a well-deserved breakfast.
